In high school, she took a film photography class and was hooked. (Fun fact: she now has her own basement darkroom). Lizzie has always been interested in photography; it’s basically in her blood. Her grandfather, and his father were photographers at a major metro Detroit newspaper. She holds a bachelors degree in Deaf Studies from Madonna University, and manages Dear Fern full time. When she’s not working, you can find Lizzie binge watching the Gilmore Girls, taking her adorable (yet persnickety) dog Charlotte on long walks, embroidering, or rearranging her house decor like she has her own special on HGTV. Lizzie is the Joanna Gaines of the DiMaria household. He was (and still is) amazed at how it works. Growing up, Jacob and his brother would make stop-motion videos with Legos using their dad’s giant 1997 Sony Mavica. In high school, he could often be found reading a camera manual just for fun. He took some classes in college, but is mainly self taught. Although he’s a nerd when it comes to cameras, Jacob believes that the best pictures he takes are more about the moments he captures and the stories he has the privilege of telling. Jacob holds two associates degrees from Henry Ford Community College in liberal arts and automotive technology. He works full time as a test technician for Ford Motor Company when he’s not taking photos. In his downtime he loves woodworking and relaxing with Lizzie on the couch with takeout and watching movies or The Office.
